The 2024 Grand Final of the ArcelorMittal Acindar National Welding Tournament will be a milestone, featuring for the first time two women among the finalists. Both are students from technical schools in CABA, and their presence reaffirms the competition commitment to gender equity and inclusion in the industry.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 16, at the Otto Krause Technical School in the City of Buenos Aires, bringing together more than 20 finalists from different provinces, including representatives from Misiones.
Throughout the day there will be technical exhibitions, product demonstrations, and networking spaces with industry leaders, as well as live competitions showcasing the talent of the best welders in the country.
Female participation in the metallurgical sector is still low: only 11% of workers are women, and most are in administrative roles. This tournament seeks to reverse that trend by promoting technical training and equal opportunities.
Since its creation, the National Welding Tournament has established itself as a key platform to professionalize the trade, identify new talent, and strengthen ties between education and industry.
They are already part of the Job Board
