In Rosario, two free in-person courses have begun that directly target demand in the manufacturing sector: welding and CNC lathe. Classes are held at Casa Salesiana San José and have limited seats, prioritizing a hands-on approach and tangible job outcomes.
Both training programs, promoted by the Municipality, bring together 36 participants who will complete their training at the end of May. New editions have already been announced throughout the year.
The organizers explained that each graduate is supported with interviews and contacts in the private sector to facilitate job placement. The courses include tool handling, technical fundamentals, and the development of employability skills.
Several students highlighted the experience. Kevin, who studies robotics, says the CNC course adds a lot for him: "It is very comprehensive and I totally recommend it." Cristian, who attends the welding course with his partner, said they want to apply what they learned in their own workshop. Andrés, another participant, saw it on social media and enrolled because of the strong job prospects. Nicolás, a metalworker from Baigorria, emphasized that it is a great opportunity to keep learning.
